HOW DOES IT WORK ?
When Ultraviolet light strikes the TiO2 particles in the coating they are activated and start to emit electrons. This in turn causes nearby Water to be broken down into highly reactive hydroxyl radicals and super Oxides.
It is these
free radicals that create a powerful oxidising reaction which breaks down
organic compounds, including bacteria, viruses, moulds and odours, into water
(H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) which then evaporate from the
treated surface.
And as such, it also has a "self cleaning" effect that repels dirt and water on hard surfaces.
The coating starts to work immediately it is exposed to a source of UV light (e.g. Sunlight) and it continues to work 24 hours a day . 7 days a week, 365 days a year, as long as there is light to power it.

WHAT IS IT?
Based on Nano
technology, BioCloak is a new
anti-bacterial coating that can be applied to
equipment to give added protection against
bacteria, spores, viruses as well as against general organic impurities and
dirt.
In particular, BioCloak deals with MRSA, C.Difficille, E. Coli, SARS, Listeria, Salmonella and bacterial spores. Surfaces that have been treated with BioCloak will stop contaminants from growing and quickly reduce what is there.
Laboratory Tests have
shown that colonies of
bacteria were reduced in numbers by 99.9% when exposed to a coated surface
in a 24 hour period.


All MGE equipment can
be coated in BioCloak to provide additional protection against cross infection.
This includes our pipeline regulators, electric suction units, portable suction
units, trolley systems and even general accessories if required.
